I bought The Killer’s new Album on the weekend and have been listening to it ever since.

I was really excited to listen to it, I was blown away at how good their first album Hot Fuss was. It was going to be hard to top that.

The first single from the new album, ‘When you were young’ was a good sign. I love that song. (In fact, the B Side to the single, ‘All the Pretty Faces’ is an unbelivable good song for a B side!).

After listening to Sam’s Town for a couple of days, I can honestly say it is a good Album. The songs are very much in the style of The Killers, and if anything they are bigger and bolder. However I don’t feel that there are the great songs like, Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me and All These Things That I’ve Done that were on the first Album.

My Favourite songs so far (apart from When You Were Young) would have to be the Enterlude and Exitlude, these are little pieces but I really love them, plus the title track, Sam’s Town, and also Why Do I Keep Counting, This River is Wild.

If you are a fan of The Killers, you must get this album, if you are new to The Killers, I would suggest buying “Hot Fuss” first.

I just Pre-Ordered The Killers’ new Album “Sam’s Town” from iTunes. (About Time it was added to the Australian store, about 2 weeks after it appeared in the US).

Because I Pre-Ordered, I got “When you were Young” early. YEY! This is such a cool song. I don’t know why I like it, its just one of those songs I just got in to straight away. I hope the rest of the album is just as good.

I first heard about “The Killers” when “Somebody Told Me” hit the charts, but I didn’t really get into them until a few months later when “Mr Brightside” came out and I realised I needed to get the Album. I really loved their first Album “Hot Fuss” and I have really been looking forward to their new work.

Now I just have to wait until October for it to be released.
